BAFRA/BAFA Rules Committee (combined meeting)

  1. Welcome and apologies
  2. Approve minutes of last meeting
  3. Confirm Committee's procedures
  4. Review 2008 rules changes
    • In particular, the reversion to the old timing rules
  5. Report on developments at IFAF
  6. Consider rules changes proposals for 2009
    1. NCAA 2008 rules changes
    2. Reduce minimum size of end zone to 7 yards
    3. Absolute minimum standards
    4. Game management changes (marked in yellow on draft)
    5. Flag and 5-on-5 rules (to follow)
  7. Final voting on rules changes for 2009
  8. Agree points of emphasis for 2009
  9. Production of the rulebook (editing; printing; paying for)
  10. Notification of changes to officials, teams, coaches, etc.
  11. Any other business
    • Review of flag and 5-on-5 rules (report on progress of working party)
    • 8-on-8 rules (propose setting up working party to establish)
  12. Date of next meeting: propose October 2009

The Rules Committee will only consider rules changes proposed by the deadline of Tuesday 30th September 2008. Proposals made after this date will be held over for 2009.
